Cambridge First Examination Key Facts
• Computer or paper-based
• 4 parts: Reading & Use of English, Writing, Speaking, Listening.
• About 3.5 hours in total.
• Reading and Use of English: 1 hour 15 minutes. Answer questions about different types of text, such as fiction, newspapers or informational material.
• Writing: 1 hours and 20 minutes. Part 1 compulsory for and against essay. Part 2, choose one of the following using between an article, email/letter, report, or review (140 and 190 words).
• Listening: about 40 minutes. 4 parts. Mixture of monologues and dialogues from sources such as news programmes, radio broadcasts, and public announcements.
• Speaking. Duration: around 13 minutes. Four parts. Candidates need to participate in discussions, and reach decisions through negotiation.

IELTS Academic Entry Requirements:
 To study Cambridge B2 First course, you should have at least a B1 Level of English at the beginning of your course.
 Our IELTS course is designed for those who need a minimum Band Score of 6.5. It is an Upper Intermediate / Advanced level qualification at C1 Level per CEFR.
 To study on the IELTS 6.5+ course, you should therefore have at least a B1 Level of English at the beginning of your course.
 We are happy to assess your current English level in more detail via video call. It is free of charge.
