But don’t worry, this blog series is here to help! In this first post, we’ll look at some of the most common questions you’ll hear in interviews. Then, in the next posts, we’ll explore the best ways to answer each one.

With good preparation and a few useful techniques, interviews don’t have to be scary. You can feel more confident and make a good impression. Want to know how? Let’s begin!

🎯 What Are Interviewers Really Trying to Find Out?

If you want to feel less nervous about interviews, it helps to remember one important point: most questions are really asking these three big things:

  1. Can you do the job?👉 Do you have the right skills and experience?

  2. Do you want the job?👉 Are you enthusiastic and motivated?

  3. Will you fit in?👉 Is your personality a good match for the team?

To find out these things, the interviewer will ask smaller questions, and that’s where we’ll start.

✏️ Your Task Before the Next Blog Post

Below, you’ll find 11 of the most common interview questions in English. Your task is simple:

  • Think about each question

  • Make short notes on how you might answer

  • Do not write long answers — keep it short and clear

  • Take about 30 minutes maximum

Then, in the next posts, we’ll look at each question in more detail and help you build great answers.

🧠 What is the STAR Method?

For some questions, you’ll see this note:🧠 Use the STAR Method to Answer

The STAR method helps you give clear answers using real examples. Here’s how it works:

  • S = Situation – What happened? Where were you?

  • T = Task – What did you need to do?

  • A = Action – What did you do?

  • R = Result – What was the final result?

Use STAR when you talk about past experiences — it helps you stay calm, confident, and organised.
